About SheetMorph

SheetMorph turns the dimensions on a drawing into a flat pattern of a sheet metal part that can be marked out and cut.

1. What it does

SheetMorph develops the pieces of fabricated ductwork, hoppers, chutes and pipework into flat patterns: transitions, cones, bends and elbows, tees and branches, offsets, dished heads and screw flights. Enter the sizes from the drawing, and it shows the part in 3D, the dimensioned views and the flat pattern with its ordinates.

2. How it works

Each panel is unfolded from true lengths measured on the 3D surface, and every result is checked before it is shown: edge lengths, areas, matching seams and closure. A piece that cannot be developed exactly is triangulated, and the result says so and by how much.

SheetMorph runs in the browser and needs an internet connection. The patterns are calculated on your own computer: the sizes you type, your jobs and your drawings are not sent to a server. See the privacy policy for what is.

Every module can be used without an account. Downloading the files needs a free account.

3. Who makes it

SheetMorph is designed, built and run by Sai Kumar in India, under the name Aroha Matrix. It is made for the people who mark out and cut sheet metal: fabricators, sheet metal workers, draughtsmen and the engineers who work with them.

It grows release by release; what is new lists every version and what it brought.

4. Getting in touch

Questions, ideas and reports of a fault are welcome. The contact page lists where each goes; for anything general, write to sheetmorph@arohamatrix.com.
